- Making sure that the whole parish is aware of the importance of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
- Promoting safe practices including articulating for others what is appropriate and inappropriate behaviour; and
- Assisting the Parish Priest in the implementation of the Archdiocese of Brisbane Safeguarding Policy in the Parish.

As a mother and a parishioner, I wish for my children to be safe and protected in our community and to feel the church is a safe haven. Not only that, I wish that they also experience whatever the Catholic community can offer them including faith, teachings, the opportunity to be part of an extended family, to get involved and to learn that with faith comes friendship, fun and community spirit.
Church is not only about coming together on a Sunday to worship God, but also to experience God in many ways throughout the week.
